CSA Sociological Abstracts, in cooperation with sponsoring professional
associations, welcomes you to this site for submission of abstracts
of conference papers. We are currently accepting submissions of abstracts
to be presented at the following conferences:
Please complete the form provided below and submit as directed. A
successful submission will be confirmed upon completion. Do not send
a backup hard copy of the abstract.
We also encourage participants to make their complete papers available
to Sociological Abstracts' vast user audience through our document delivery service, Sociology*Express.
To do so, simply send a hard copy of the complete paper, noting that
the abstract has been submitted electronically, to:
If a participant does supply a complete paper to Sociological Abstracts, a notation is added to
the abstract with instructions on how to order the paper through our document delivery service. Upon
request, Sociological Abstracts will supply the paper to a requestor, charging a small fee ($12.50
USD) for handling and postage.

ABSTRACTING INSTRUCTIONS
Please make your abstract concise (100-200 words), but also informative,
providing a succinct summary of the paper's focus.
In the case of a paper based on empirical research, please include
in your abstract: (1) a statement of the premise, hypothesis, or subject
of the study; (2) a description of the supporting data, including the
relevant subject population characteristics, methods used to obtain
the data, and processes of analysis; and (3) a brief report of the findings
or conclusions.
An abstract of a discursive or theoretical paper should include: (1)
a statement of the premise or subject, followed by (2) a step-by-step
outline of the author's reasoning, and (3) any conclusions reached.
Please provide full citation information for referenced works, and do
not use any abbreviations.
